Pier-Tech 3 Telescope Pier
Part#: PT3
Pier-Tech 3 is similar in construction as the Pier-Tech2 except it can withstand greater bending moments and it has an 800-pound lifting capacity. It is designed for the observer who wishes to raise and lower the telescope pier by a push of a button. Pier-Tech 3 is also great for remote control observatories where the full operation of the observatory is done remotely. The pier can be wired to the observatory's main controller for operation. To operate the Pier-Tech 3, just plug it into a standard 120V outlet and push the up or down button on the supplied hand held pendant to raise or lower the pier.

Auto-Pier Software & Hardware

Auto-Pier is an add on accessory that allows you to control the Pier-Tech 2 or Pier-Tech 3 via a computer connection. You will now be able to retract or extend the pier via software from your computer. Pier-Tech will provide the hardware and software needed to remotely control your Pier-Tech 2 or Pier-Tech 3 telescope pier.

Eye Piece Tray Option
Part#: PT3-ET
Stainless Steel eyepiece tray with 15 places for 1 1/4 inch eyepices and 3 spaces for 2 inch eyepieces. Also included are 2 quick release knobs for removing the tray. The eyepiece tray can be used with the PT1, PT2 or PT3 telescope piers and can also be mounted to the inside wall of the Tele-Station observatory.

Laptop Tray Option

Stainless Steel laptop tray measures 9 inches x 9 inches, with gussets for extra strength. Also included are 2 quick release knobs for removing the tray. Tray can also be used for holding beverages or star charts. The laptop tray can be used with the PT1, PT2 or PT3 telescope piers and can also be mounted to the inside wall of the Tele-Station observatory

Observatory Control 3.0
Part#: OCS
This new software and hardware package boasts many features not found in other observatory automation packages. One main feature is to be able to control either remotely or in the observatory itself, our height adjustable telescope pier. You will be able to raise or lower the pier as part of your observing session automation routine. Our controller hosts stored configuration settings and a microprocessor that can automatically open (or close) the observatory at a specific time or signal (e.g.: cloud sensor) – enabling unattended-automated control of your roll off roof observatory without the need of a pc. The cloud sensor can execute an automated routine consisting of pier down, close roof or open roof, pier up, all with feedback from the position limit switches on the roof and pier. This routine can also be activated from popular observatory control packages such as ACP
